안녕하세요! What’s up, everyone!
Back for round 2 of Monday Ment (뭔데 멘트)! This week, we add some skits and have a little fun with…well, ourselves: YouTubers! I know that some of what we do is over the top. Some people think we are annoying in public. Some people think we’re fake.
But yo, I had so much fun doing these skits in the middle. I feel like I should try these out more often. Check out Monday Ments every Monday (until I run out of time in my life to edit videos, then they will become Monday Ment Live Streams).
I love what we do, to be honest. Yes, overreactions happen. Yes, some people fudge some facts. Yes, we also make you wait about 3-5 minutes before you can actually eat that we put in front of you. Gotta get them food close-ups for sure! Overall, I think the good we’ve done in the world of the internet trumps the small white lies we say to keep our viewers happy. We put on a fake smile after a real life breakup. We don’t spread rumors about others who are truly bad people, because that’s not what the community is about. Our lies are there, but as long as our intentions our pure, that’s what’s up!
I will say one interesting takeaway from being a YouTuber: I think I’ve become more expressive as a person. And that’s really a good thing. I have more energy when my sister tells me good news. I get excited when my friends meet me at the subway station. I smile more. I say hi to more random people AND of course talk to my friends more often. That’s the beauty of this YouTube thing. At first, being really active might have felt fake, but we eventually grow into our own skin.
Don’t let this video discourage you from going over-the-top! I love watching the crazy facial expressions and the unnecessary excitement over a new chair. Keep filming, keep editing, and keep being awesome.
