Alex and Cameron meet up with the Arirang TV film crew to take on a new…challenge? The tteokbokki 떡볶이 buffet!

There’s a new type of restaurant in Seoul these days – the do it yourself all-you-can-eat tteokbokki experience! You get the sauce, the vegetables, the soondae, the noodles… and you bring them back to your table and cook it yourself! I’d recommend ordering it with the cheese (not free), if you’re into that. Don’t forget to get the mixed fried rice at the end! The soft drinks are free, and they do have beer if you want that as an option.

The place we went to was called 두끼 (Doo-kki), which means “2 Meals” in Korean. It’s actually a chain restaurant ~ the one we went to was near the SBS studios next to Omokgyo station (오목교역).

Who is Alex Sigrist?
Apparently he’s not good at math ~ spend money on making a video and waste countless hours editing it to make a few cents per YouTube video, but at least he likes it! He’s been here in Korea for 8 years doing putting himself in awkward situations for the sole purpose of making people smile…or cringe. He has his own radio show at TBS eFM – check out his show called “Line Six” everyday on the TBS app from 6pm to 8pm. He is also a guest twice a week on an EBS FM radio show called “Morning Special” (8am-9am) every Wednesday (Travel Corner) and Saturday (talking life). You can also catch him on the 10:30am Arirang TV program called “Globetrotters” every Friday – you can see the “behind-the-scenes” footage from this video and others that he does with Arirang.

And please remember to subscribe to his YouTube channel – 미국친구 Michin Alex – and his Instagram (also michinalex) to see what he does in his daily life in Korea.

Who is Cameron Word?
He is more than just an awesome last name! Cameron currently a grad student completing his Masters degree at Korea University in Seoul. He dabbles in acting and modeling while maintaining that perfect hair of his. Check out his Instagram: cameron.word
