As the weather has gotten warmer, we’ve finally started venturing out again! Last weekend we went to the famous Trick Eye Museum in Hongdae. It was very easy to find (less than a 10 minute walk from the subway), and the building had a huge sign, so you won’t miss it! When you first walk downstairs, the first museum you’ll see is the Love Museum, which we didn’t check out. It looked really fun though, so we’ll probably go back sometime! The Trick Eye Museum is on the floor below the Love Museum. Even before you pay for your ticket there are plenty of statues and fun props to take a picture with. There’s also a café near the ticket desk that does fun selfie art in the latte foam.
A ticket for the Trick Eye Museum is 15,000 won per person, and it also includes the Ice Museum. The Ice Museum is right by the café. So we started with the Trick Eye Museum and took a lot of fun photos! I had gone once before a couple of years ago, but they’ve recently added a random horror section which was fun! To finish the Trick Eye Museum you walk through a mirror maze, and of course, we got lost in there for a bit. Once you exit, there’s some fun virtual reality games and interactive activities. Some are free and others aren’t. Then we checked out the Ice Museum, which was small but had an ice slide. So, definitely worth it!
Overall, it was a really fun time! If you are ever in the Hongdae area and need something to do with your friends, then we definitely recommend checking out these museums!
