Anyone who watches my channel regularly knows I do a lot of music. About 97% of the music I do are cover songs and I have 2 or 3 originals songs. So often people tell me I should audition for Show Me The Money just for the sake of being on the show and rapping. I have no interest in the show nor do I have the motivation and strive to actually pursue a music career. If I were to appear on that show with no intention of becoming a musician, I would feel pretty embarrassed. Even worst, if I were to advance, I’d feel really bad for the people who were eliminated that truly have the heart to make music. I’d also have to write my own lyrics within a timeframe, etc. Just not something I could take seriously. I just feel as a YouTuber, music is one of the areas I’m good at covering, parody or not. With that being said, the sandwich shop Subway is having a rap competition in collaboration with Show Me The Money and I figured why not give it a try. I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone: I can shoot a new video AND update my Sound Cloud page with a new song. Also, the people who submit their videos to Subway get exposure on the Subway Instagram page and YouTube so I could possibly gain some new followers as well. My roommate, who is a hip-hop producer, helped me write the song then we performed it together!!
