Hey All! Here’s a clip from Thursday nights live broadcast of The Seoul Weaver Show. It’s from the second half of the current events segment and in it I talk a little bit about concerns people have regarding the Pyeongchang Olympics, a new business practice that Samsung is trying out, the passing of legendary gayageum player Byeongki Hwang and a couple of other random stories that caught my attention this week.
For those who don’t know, The Seoulweaver Show is a project I’ve been working for the past few months. The aim is to create an online talk show that gives people a little bit of insight on life in Korea. As of now, there are two parts to the show.
A current events segment in which I highlight and analyze (for lack of a better word) news stories that have been published during the past week.
And a super informal second half in which I talk about social media posts and discussions that caught my attention during the week.
If you liked this clip you may want to check out the full “prepisode”. You can do that at the link below.

The show is still in prelaunch mode while I get things figured out but I’m broadcasting every Thursday night at 8:00 pm on the Seoulweaver Facebook page. So feel free to join me live, check out the replay, or just catch the clips I share on YouTube. I’m also super curious about what people think about the show so if you have any thoughts, ideas, or recommendations – constructive or otherwise – leave em in the comments. I know I’m opening myself up to ridicule here but I truly welcome any and all feedback 🙂
Hope to see you all online sometime soon!
