Madi Miso went on a spontaneous day trip to jump off a cliff and splash in chilly water in the beautiful Boryeong countryside. It’s always nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and find some exciting hidden adventures that push you out of your comfort zone! It was so much fun and wonderfully relaxing to spend time on the beach, despite the icy water!

I was so excited for this trip I was barely able to sleep the night before. Fortunately I snoozed on the 2 hour bus ride out, accompanied by some new friends who were also out looking for spontaneous adventure. Once we arrived we drove straight up the narrow winding roads of the mountain. I was quick to volunteer to be in the first group of jumpers. After being all strapped in I was told to just “run and keep running,’ right off the cliff of the mountain. With a rush of adrenaline I hurled myself off as fast as I could, and we were magically lifted up into the air.

I don’t know if it was the lack of sleep or a lack of self-preservation, but for some reason I felt no fear at all! I was soaring hundreds of meters up in the air pondering the fact that if I didn’t have a trained professional strapped to my back, I could have very well been falling to my death, impaled by a tree branch.

Fortunately we landed safely and easily after five short minutes of soaring with the birds.

Afterward we all headed towards the beach for some delicious seafood and some quality R&R amongst the cawing seagulls. It was exactly what I needed to rejuvenate myself after many months of enduring the cold harsh winter.
