Hugh has rebranded his other channel (where he just uploaded tv appearances and stuff) to now be a channel about being a father. It’s called ‘Korean Appa’. ‘Appa’ in Korean means ‘daddy’. There are certain reasons why we didn’t call it “Korean Daddy” haha…
Our baby Yul is now 7 months old and is growing so fast and learning new things every day. Hugh really wanted to document his time as a new father and rather than spam our MKH channel with lots of small baby videos, he will be uploading to this channel instead.
It’s not just about recording moments for us, Hugh wants to motivate and encourage other fathers in Korea. While Korea is changing, many fathers still feel a disconnect from their children and even if they want to be more involved there are some mental hurdles they need to overcome. Many Korean men grew up with fathers who were emotionally distant, due to the culture at the time, and even when they want to be more involved with their kids, they can find it hard as they never had a good example.
In this first little video Hugh is doing push ups while Yul tries to copy but soon gets distracted by something…
Please subscribe to this new channel (you can also see previous TV stuff we have done as well on it). But if you really love cute baby stuff and want to see an international couple raising a bilingual child this is the channel for you!
