Hey, I hope you all are well! As you know, I enjoy painting and putting things together. The more I do these little projects, the more I enjoy them and the more I try to find better ways of doing them.

I’m sure most of you have seen Star Wars The Force Awakens and if you remember, there is a scene where Han Solo gives Rey a blaster. In today’s video, I try to spice up the version of this blaster that Nerf created.

Others who might do similar things, might have made more drastic changes to the blaster, but I wanted it to be able to still function, yet look like it was from the film. It took me about a day or so to paint it. That was due to having to wait for the different layers of paint to dry.

I really find these projects fascinating as you get to see how it started and the process of it changing. When you first get it, it looks like any other toy. However, after adding even the first layer of paint, it begins to transform into something more.

This was my first time using a Dremel as well and it’s a bit trickier than I thought it would. I’m sure the more I practice with it, the better I’ll get. In the meantime, I’m just having fun with these projects and hope you are too. If you have any questions about the process, please feel free to ask me. Or if you know of better ways of doing something, I’m open for suggestions.
