After filmkin a short movie “For Twenty Year Olds Who Have Never Been Loved”, we have received quite a few messages, asking about what equipment did we use for filming, how long did it take and how we edited all all of the scenes in order to get the final result.
Instead of answering each question separately, we decided that it would be easier and more productive to make a video, explaining both, our equipment and ways of filming 🙂
Since I am not that good with tech, Gyu was the only one apprearing in this video. He introduced both of his cameras, lenses, gimbal and and programs he uses for editing.
Also, you can find some useful tips and tricks for filmmaking, regardless of the fact if you are going to make videos for your Youtube channel or will be working on more serious projects.
What is important when buying the camera? Does price matter? How should you move while using a gimbal? What is most important when starting a short film project? Answers to all those questions and many more will be answered in this video!
As a special bonus, we have included some editing tips as well! Even though as many others, we use iMovie, Premiere Pro and Final Cut for editing, but instead of just burning his eyes on the computer sceen, Gyu prefers using the Palette Gear Kit for color grading. If you want to see how it looks, wait no more and click on that link!
Of course, everyone has their preferences and their own way of filming and editing, so so there is no one right answer! We just shared our experience and what works for us. If your methods are different, it is also ok!
As always, thank you for watching and if you have any other questions, do not hesitate to leave us a comment! 🙂
