Whoop, Whoop! Back with another video, this time we went for Dwaeji Gukbap, some kind of Korean Hangover Soup, because the night before we went out late to celebrate Alex his birthday party. And yes, the party was wild and some guys stayed up all night long! Until 6 o’clock in the morning! And yeah, two of these guys were me and Cedric, so we definitely “earned” our Korean Hangover Soup.
Dwaeji Gukbap is originally a specialty dish from Busan but there are also places in Seoul, where you can find this Korean food. Dwaeji Gukbap (λΌμ§κ΅λ°₯) is bascially a Pork and Rice Soup, where the pork bone is getting cooked until it gets the milk-coloured broth out. Usually it is meant for women after childbirth and for the weak people in generell but yeah, also perfect for people suffering because of hangover!
In this video we talk also about hangover food in the US as in Austria. I found out, that not only Austrians are drinking beer to get over the hangover (it is called “Reparaturseidl“, it is a beer that “fixes” you) but also Koreans have some kind of drinking more alcohol in order to get over the hangover. It is called Haejangsul (ν΄μ₯μ )! Very interesting!
If you like my video, please don’t forget to give it a thumbs up and also subscribe to my Mika in Korea Youtube Channel, if you didn’t do it yet. Also check out my friend Cedric, most of you will know him from his channel Skycedi. Same here, if you didn’t subscribe to him yet, check out his videos. He made a very popular video sharing his Blasian Family Story!
Thx for watching and see you in the next video! cheers! π
