Hey What’s up All! It’s been kind of a long time since I’ve posted a video but I’ve been trying to figure out a few things regarding my channel. Mainly, how to combine the different types of content I create into one, all inclusive content format. It’s been tough trying to run the podcast and the vlog at the same time all while holding down a full-time job and an even fuller-time family.

But I think I came up with something that’ll work and will be pretty cool once I figure out how to pull it off.

Instead of recording and editing a separate podcast, vlog and informational video separately, I’ve decided to combine both, and a couple of other things, in a weekly live webshow.

I’m still getting things worked out so I’ve given myself a little time and room to some testing with live practice runs in my Facebook group. But for the most part, I’ve settled on the general format and have gotten things all set up on the technical end.

The show will basically consist of 3 portions. The podcast – which will focus on interviews and providing insight from other expats here in Korea, a news/current events segment in which I talk about the stories of the week, and a quick segment on any other anecdotes that caught my attention on social media, or what have you, during the week. I’ve also got plans to add a quick segment about entertainment and upcoming events on the end.

In this particular video I started with a bit of a rant about culture, highlighted some current events, and completely BOTCHED a share of a Daily Show interview of a former US ambassador to North Korean (technical issues that wont happen again).

Check it out and let me know what you all think. I’d love your feedback!

I’ll be broadcasting the show live to either the Seoulweavers Facebook group or on the Seoulweaver YouTube Channel on Thursday evenings at 8:00pm for the rest of September so if anyone is interested in joining in, you’re more than welcome. Unless things go haywire, I’ll be launching the first “real” episode on the first week of October. Hope to see some of you in future episodes!
