A few months ago I (Chen) took a solo summer vacation to a few countries and decided that I wanted to check off the country of Laos on my list. It was hot, it was interesting, and it was beautiful. As a country that has yet to experience as much of a tourism boom as more notable countries in SE Asia, I can say that anyone who hasn’t gone yet is missing out. I not only felt incredibly safe as a solo female traveler but everyone I met along the way was so incredibly kind AND they offered some great restaurants as well on a great price point. Laos is not always top of mind for some when they think of a vacation destination but I personally had a great time. As a disclaimer I donโt think itโs a place you go to if you are looking for a full moon Thailand party vibe, it is more of a sit back, relax, walk around and enjoy the sites kind of vibe. I included not just the main attractions you have to see in each city but also some insider tips on a few eating spots that have been evaluated and approved! If you are in any way curious about Laos or want to get some ideas for a Southeast Asia trip then definitely make sure to give this video some love. I didn’t get to include everything I experienced and everywhere I ate in this video so if you have any questions, please let me know in the comments below!
