Thanks to the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Korea, we were able to attend the 4th annual Lithuanian day in Seoul, South Korea.
Diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Korea started On October 14th, 1991 and we have come the long way since then.
Even though there is no Lithuanian embassy in Korea and vice versa yet, the growing amount of Lithuanians in Seoul and other biggest Korean cities recquires deeper intercultural relationship. This is why we are happy to have at least our honorary consul, who is doing his best to provide us with events, like the Lithuanian day, so Lithuanians can feel more like at home in Korea as well. Korean guests, who miss Lithuania or love its’ culture are also welcomed.
It was our second time, coming to this annual event and getting to know more and more about Lithuanian community in Korea. We have met some people we already know and also got to know some new people, who either moved to Korea recently or missed the event last year.
Also, we had a special guest visiting us as well! The first place winner of Lithuania’s got Talent show 2010 – greatly talented accordionist Martynas Levickis, honored us with his great music performance!
Even though this video is short, we wanted to share how Lithuanians, who live in South Korea, remember their roots and gather together. Even if it is only once a year…
As always, Thank you for watching and see you next time!
